Strathmore University unveils app to ease access to law content

Strathmore University students have developed an app that will allow Law Students and Lawyers to access the Kenyan Constitution, Case Laws and the Kenyan Gazette through their mobile phones and tablets. Through a Memorandum of Understanding between Kenya Law Reports, Strathmore University and Samsung Electronics, the law content will be accessed solely through the Samsung app store.

Confirming the plans, Samsung Electronics East Africa, Chief Operating Officer  Robert Ngeru confirmed the partnership,  “At Samsung, our core business is enabling platforms for apps and technology solutions development, but we still rely on different stakeholders to provide content; hence our interest in training and nurturing Strathmore iLab Africa students to come up with applications that run on the Android platform, as well as carry out research in technology trends across Africa.” read more
